Firefox Plugins for designers

Posted on Thursday, October 9, 2008 in Resources

Here are a few plugins that I find invaluable:

  1. Palette Grabber Link

“Creates a colour palette for Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, Flash, Fireworks, Paint.NET, or OS X based on the current page.”

  2. Web Developer Link

“Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools.”

  3. MeasureIt Link

“Draw out a ruler to get the pixel width and height of any elements on a webpage.”

  4. Colorzilla Link

“Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies.”

  5. FireFTP Link

“FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.”

  6. IE View Link

“Lets you load pages in IE with a single right-click, or mark certain sites to *always* load in IE.”

  7. Firebug Link

“Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page…
    Firebug 1.2 requires Firefox 2 or 3.”

Is also a good way to learn CSS
